Onthos is a deep tech company based in Cambridge, UK, building a dynamic ontology for financial markets. We are scientists, engineers, mathematicians and financial professionals united by a belief: good decisions come from seeing clearly.
We build a living map of the economy: what companies do, which industries and themes they connect to, and how those relationships change. Our market intelligence products help investment teams understand exposures, measure thematic risk and turn investment ideas into products.
At the foundation of our work is a living ontology: a structure for understanding what things are, what they do and how they relate. Onthos Infrastructure brings this technology to a firm’s own information, turning fragmented sources into connected knowledge that people, applications and AI agents can query and reuse, with every fact linked to its evidence.
Our name, Onthos, draws on the Greek ὄν, ὄντος, ‘that which is’. It reflects the belief behind everything we build: good decisions begin with seeing things as they are.
